Cosmetics update in Grow a Garden | Eurogamer.net
How to place and use cosmetics.
Grow a Garden cosmetics are decorations you place across your garden! With them you can bring some extra flourish to your plot or just place a sign telling other players to go away…
The Farm Cosmetic update arrived shortly after the Monster Mash event, which saw Grow a Garden players attempt to set a world record! The Cosmetic update itself brings a selection of gnomes and other decorations, along with the ability to expand your garden.
So let's take a look at Grow a Garden cosmetics, including how to get cosmetics and how to move cosmetics to make your garden more beautiful.

We've also got a page on the latest Grow a Garden codes.
There are over 110 farm cosmetics in Grow a Garden according to the update log released by the developers in the official Grow a Garden Discord. That's quite a lot of different decorations you can add to your garden!
Due to this, there's a number of ways you can get cosmetics in Grow a Garden:
A Cosmetics shop can now be found between the Pet Egg and Gear stand. Talking with Sam, its owner, will open the Cosmetics shop menu. Here you'll find a selection of cosmetics for sale. A cosmetics loot crate, of which there are multiple types, might also be for sale.
The Cosmetic shop stock rotates on a four hour basis. You can, of course, force a restock if you have the spare Robux.
It's important to note that many of the cosmetics cost quite a lot of Sheckles, so you will need to be growing a fair amount of plants - ideally selling the ones with mutations - if you want to decorate your garden.
Another way you can collect cosmetics is by opening the cosmetics crates. According to the official update log on the Grow a Garden Discord, there are seven crates you can purchase.
These crates and what they contain are are:
Remember - these crates are essentially loot boxes, so there's no guarantee on what cosmetic you'll receive upon opening it. You may purchase the Sign Crate six times, only to get the same sign six times in a row.
The majority of these crates are purchased from the Cosmetics shop, but the one on offer rotates. This means you may find that the Cosmetics shop doesn't currently stock the crate you're looking for. Due to this, you'll have to return to the shop when it's restocked.
The only exception to this is the Exclusive Crate, which is purchased from the in-game shop using Robux. Though, keep in mind that you may still receive the same cosmetic multiple times if you purchase this box.
During the Blood Moon event, players were able to purchase the Mysterious Crate for a grand total of 10,000,000 Sheckles. If you were rich enough to purchase one of these crates, they can now be opened for a cosmetic item. (This was actually hinted at in the image released for the Farm Cosmetic update.)
Here are all of the Cosmetic items we've found in Grow a Garden so far:
The Sign Crate is a Rare item and one costs 55,000 Sheckles:
The Farmers Gnome Crate is a Rare item and one costs 88,000,000 Sheckles:
The Bloodmoon Crate a Mythical item and one costs 120,000,000 Sheckles.
The Bee Crate has been released as part of the Queen Bee event:
To place a cosmetic, you first need to open your 'Cosmetic Inventory' in Grow a Garden. This is done by clicking the hammer-and-spanner icon in the top-left hand corner. (It's next to the regular 'Inventory' button.)
Doing so will open your 'Cosmetic Inventory' where you'll be able to see all of your cosmetics and any you've placed. The total number of cosmetics you can have in your inventory is 250 at the time of writing, while you can currently place 60 cosmetics in your garden.
To place a cosmetic, simply decide where you want it to go in your garden and then click on it in your inventory. It will now appear in this spot!
If you want to do some rearranging, however, then click on the cosmetic in your garden. This will now bring up a mini-menu where you can move, rotate or return the item to your inventory.
Here's a quick rundown of what each button does:
Now you're free to decorate your garden however you like! If you'd like to learn more about Grow a Garden, check out our guides on pets, seeds and mutations.
